Page 17, 8-9 September 1881

Thursday the 8
she left about half
past 9 in the morning
the Ayr mare is not feeding
good, they have got a
cold. Ireland is at the
one side & Scotland at
the other with a smog
sea         Friday the 9th
got along till
towards evening
thinks we have
got into a dirty
boat, don’t feel
like writing, I can
do quite well
without supper

Francis Coleman story is found in the “History Book of Township of Stanley 1936-1986” on page 387

Thomas Carr according to the 1901 Ontario  census, immigrated in 1881 and became a cattleman. This was probably his immigration voyage

James Cochrane, is my great grandfather and his story can be found in the book “Hay Township Highlights 1846-1996” on page 338

Thomas Sturgeon story can be found in the “Hay Township Highlights 1846-1996 on page 628, he died in 1885.
