Edward was the son of Queen Victoria, Great Grandfather of Queen
Elizabeth
Built for the Inman Line and Launched as the City of Brooklyn in 1868,
it was sold to Dominion Line in 1878 and
renamed Brooklyn. In 1879 it was lengthened to 400 feet, new tonnage of 4,215
gross, fitted with compound engines. It was wrecked Nov 8, 1885, on Anticosti
Island
