Tuesday the 30
fine weather went
to Beith fair, a
mare 77, came back
to Kilmarnock, went
out to Pickens and
seen Sturgeons horses
then back to Kilmarnock

Wed the 31
Went down to Ayr
to see about the
mare, the man away
from home, went to
Craig’s Fergushill
and seen some colts
asking two prices



Beith is 13 miles NW of Kilmarnock
Ayr is 16 miles SW of Kilmarnock
Craig’s Ferhushill is a farm
Asking two prices means asking twice it’s value
