Kilmarnock was where the Cochrane’s lived before immigrating to Canada in 1852, they lived at Grange Gate and the Todd family were their neighbours

The Aunt that lived in Kilmarnock in 1881 was James’s mother’s sister Jean.
She was Jean McGaan that married James Wyllie, they had several children, one of which was named John Wyllie.
Aunt Jean lived at 78 Dean St and was a widow in 1881, John lived at 32 Portland Road, he was a grocer & spirit merchant.

Aunt Mary was James’s father’s sister.

Mary Cochrane married James Walker and they lived in Bogside just out of Dundonald about 4 ½ miles from Kilmarnock
