Thursday the 15/81
Sighted land about
4 in the morning, seen
Several fishing boats, porpois
& whales, the sea as smooth
As glass, getting along fine
Got through the straits
                of Belle Isle

Friday the16        up at 4
Steam of several times
Through the night and
Sounding kept blowing
The fog whistle towards
Daylight, got through
The gulph and close along
Shore, could see the people



Saturday Sep 17, 1881
Got on the pilot about
5 in the morning, the
Water is like a sheet,
Expect to get into Quebec
About 4, we got to Point
Levi bout an hour
Before sundown all the
Passengers got off


Point Levis is located on the south shore of the St Lawrence River, opposite Quebec City
